Ferdinand Vasold was born, in Stainach, about seven miles from Liezen, on the 15th September 1841. He married Theresia Keller and had three sons, Ferdinand, Franz and Alois. He was mayor of Liesen from 1871 to 1874 and served on the council after that. He handed his business over to his sons in 1911 on his seventieth birthday. He died 20th December 1921.
The business is in operation to the current day.
