Adelbert Niemeyer worked as a teacher, painter, architect, industrial and furniture designer or arranger of large-scale Munich city festivals. From 1905 onwards he also created numerous vases and services for Manufaktur Nymphenburg. On the 5/6th October 1907 he became a founder member of the "Deutsche Werkbund" (German Work Federation).
